Avesthagen ties up with bioMerieux

Bangalore-based agri-biotech company, Avesthagen, has entered into alliance with bioMerieux, a 1 Euro billion French diagnostic giant, to develop diagnostic kit within two years based on the Affymetrix gene chip technology. According to Dr. Villoo Morawala Patell, CEO of the company, Avesthagen has also tied up with Imperial College London for population genomics study. The project is expected to focus on systemic lupus erythematosus a generalized autoimmune disease.
